Alberta Small Brewers Association Launches The Alberta Ale Trail

CALGARY, AB – The Alberta Small Brewers Association (ASBA), with support from Travel Alberta and the Government of Canada’s Tourism Relief Fund, has announced the official launch of the Alberta Ale Trail.

Intended to “support and promote the growing popularity of beer tourism to more than 140 small breweries,” the Alberta Ale Trail website features suggested itineraries for visiting breweries and other attractions in regions throughout the province, as well as a searchable map of all of Alberta’s craft breweries, an events calendar, and a news blog.

“By creating itineraries with our breweries as the main points of interest, The Alberta Ale Trail will not only be a go to source of information for beer enthusiasts it will also encourage the curious to try out some local businesses,” says Blair Berdusco, Executive Director of the Alberta Small Brewers Association, in a statement. “This project will support tourism partners throughout Alberta, highlighting parks, events, hospitality, tour operators and more with seasonal considerations.”

The announcement also notes that new trail itineraries will be added to the throughout the summer, giving “local and visiting tourists something new to try throughout patio season and beyond.”
