BAY DE VERDE, NL – The small community of Bay de Verde on the northernmost edge of Newfoundland’s Conception Bay is now home to the province’s newest craft brewery.
Bay de Verde Brewing Company has been established by married couple Kim Sutton and Reg Gervais, with Sutton serving as head brewer.
The brewery opened its doors on Friday June 16th with three beers – Backside Blonde, Barter House Red, and Trail Time Apricot Sour – available on tap and in cans, plus the draught-only Speckle Trout Stout. The line-up will be filled out further this week with the release of Island Pond Ale IPA.
Bay de Verde Brewing is located at 1 Noonan’s Lane in Bay de Verde, and is open from 12:00 noon to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, 12:00 noon to 10:00 PM on Thursday to Sunday, and 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday. For more details, see the brewery’s pages on Instagram and Facebook.
