OSOYOOS, BC – Nelson, BC’s Backroads Brewing has announced that it has acquired the assets and lease of North Basin Brewing, located 3 hours west in Osoyoos.
From the announcement:
Located beachside at the beautiful Watermark Beach Resort, the facility will fall under the Backroads Brewing Co banner. Brewing operations at the facility’s 5HL brewhouse will initially be carried out by Backroads Co-Owner and 30 year industry veteran, Mike Kelly. Customers can expect to see the same core beers currently available at the Nelson location and around the BC interior at many private and government liquor retailers, while rotating taps at Backroads Osoyoos will feature unique-to-the-Okanagan beers.
Backroads Brewing opened in March 2017, while North Basin Brewing debuted in November 2020. Financial details of the purchase and the expecting timing of the official renaming of North Basin to Backroads have not be announced.
