TORONTO, ON – Bellwoods Brewery has announced the release of a new flavoured edition of its foeder-fermented and dry-hopped Grisette.
Grisette with Grapefruit (3.8% abv):
There are a whole bunch of slow and tedious things we do at the brewery in the name of *optimal flavour*, and fermenting beer entirely in oak foeders is one of them. It’s messy! Involves a great deal of foam bubbling all about! But lends layers of nuanced flavour that you can’t simply inject later on in the process.
Grisette is a beer that’s very much about enjoying the journey, not just the destination, though I’m going to be frank with you — this special Grapefruit edition, conditioned on fresh zest, is the only destination I want to go to today, tomorrow, and the day after that.
