Campio Brewing Releasing Framboise Sour Red Ale

EDMONTON, AB – Campio Brewing has announced the next release in its Wild Ales Series.

Framboise Sour Red Ale (7.1% abv):

An Albertan spin on a Belgian classic. Taking inspiration from a Flanders Red and a Belgian Frambroise we created this assertively acidic, fruity and fresh wild ale. Starting out with a base of a Sour Red Ale that spent over 2 years aging in Foeder #2, we transferred the beer into a stainless aging tank, blended in a touch of Peach Saison we had resting in barrels, and added a whole bunch of freshly picked raspberries from Horse Hill Berry Farm, just Northeast of Edmonton. Expect a tart and complex raspberry bomb with a hint of stone fruit and Belgian spice.

Framboise Sour Red Ale will be officially launched at Campio tomorrow (June 29th), with samples being poured starting at 5:00 PM, and brewery operations manager Teaghan Mayers and head brewer Brett Geislinger both on hand to discuss the beer and the brewery’s Wild Ales program.
