Buffalo 9 Brewing Opening Taproom & Brewery in Calgary

CALGARY, AB – A brewing company with a mission to “respect and honour our military’s contributions both past and present” has announced that it will soon be opening a brewery and taproom location in Calgary.

Buffalo 9 Brewing was launched in 2020 by Lane and Kelsey Gibson as a contract brewery, and released a number of military-themed beers into the Alberta market including The Ridge By Midday IPA (6.5% abv), The Peril in the Atlantic Pilsner (6% abv), The Fighting Season Pale Ale (5.3% abv), Dear Aunt Emma Mango Passionfruit Wheat Ale (5% abv), and The Sisters in the Sky Chocolate Stout (5.2% abv).

Three years on, the couple announced on Instagram earlier this week that they have signed a lease on a building in Calgary’s Glengarry neighbourhood where they will be opening a bricks-and-mortar location, including a brewery, taproom, and “great patio with fantastic shade to enjoy a pint or two”.
