KPU Brewing Program Holding Ask Me Anything Sessions & Online Brewing Chemistry Course

LANGLEY, BC – Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) has announced details of a pair of upcoming “Ask Me Anything” sessions, as well as an online continuing education course on Brewing Chemistry.

July 27th, 2023 – ‘Ask Me Anything’ with KPU Brewing instructor Martina Solano Bielen
online session – 6:00-7:00 pm (PST)
free registration

Join KPU Brewing instructor Martina Solano Bielen for an informal ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on July 27 to explore the science of beer. Martina has a Masters of Science from McGill University, studied Brewing Microbiology at the Siebel Institute of Technology, and completed her brewing diploma with the Institute of Brewing and Distilling (IBD). She’s also an award-winning brewer!

Martina loves teaching students about microbiology and the elements of beer that can’t be seen with the naked eye. She’s a firm believer that once someone understands the properties of yeast and science of brewing, they’ll be better equipped to make great beer.

So, if you’re interested in learning more, join Martina on July 27 to ask your questions. She’ll also be joined by Liam Bagshaw from KPU’s Future Students Office who can answer any program admissions questions.

August 15th, 2023 – ‘Ask Me Anything’ with KPU Brewing instructor Emily Kokonas
online session – 6:00-7:00 pm (PST)
free registration

Join KPU Brewing instructor Emily Kokonas for an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on August 15. Emily has created some funky, award-winning beers with a lot of creativity, especially during her time as a brewer at Bakery Brewing developing experimental beers.

So, if you want to know how a formal education in brewing can impact your career opportunities in the industry or just want to dive into developing experimental beer recipes, join us for this online session. Emily will also be joined by Liam Bagshaw from KPU’s Future Students Office who can answer any program admissions questions.
