TORONTO, ON – Great Lakes Brewery has announced the latest in its Flight series of beers made with new experimental hops, as well as a new collaboration with Escarpment Labs.
Flight HBC 1019 New England IPA (6.6% abv):
With IPAs always growing in popularity, hop growers are working hard to develop bigger, brighter, unique hops. It’s a good thing, because brewers like ours are always on the lookout for them. When growers create a new cross, it gets a number that looks a lot to us like a flight number. A small number of these neophytes make it to larger fields and eventually into experimental brew kettles like ours, and into hands like yours. This brew features HBC 1019 hops with notes of tangerine, tropical fruit, and fuzzy peaches.
House of Gold Golden Ale (4.5% abv):
Brewed with our friends Escarpment Laboratories, this golden ale is one of the first to be brewed with their special House Yeast. Clean, crisp, light grain, and corn sweetness with balanced hops. Slightly grassy with citrus hop aroma and flavour.
The two new beers are available now at both Great Lakes locations and the brewery’s online shop.
