VANCOUVER, BC – Three months after announcing that it was “temporarily closed until further notice”, the owners of Vancouver’s Andina Brewing have confirmed that the closure is now permanent.
As reported by Vancouver is Awesome, co-owner Andrés Amaya stated via email that the brewery “had a dispute with the landlord and the business was shut down on April 7, 2023. We were hoping to resolve these issues but we were unsuccessful.”
Located on Powell St. in East Vancouver’s Yeast Van Brewery District, Andina was opened in March 2017 by Andrés, his brother Nicolàs, and their wives Rocio and Claudia. The Amaya’s birthplace of Colombia was a strong inspiration on the beer and food served by Andina, as well as the “La Pola” girl logo and branding created for the brewery by Colombian illustrator Leo Espinosa.
According to Amaya, the brewery is now for sale.
