COMOX, BC – Three months after New Tradition Brewing closed its doors in the Vancouver Island town of Comox, a new brewery has opened for business in the same location.
RAD Brewing has been established by the owners of local bar and restaurant Church Street Taphouse, who have retained New Tradition’s head brewer Tyler Papp to oversee the brewhouse.
RAD officially opened last Thursday July 27th with an inaugural tap line-up that includes Dark Lager (5% abv), Nitro Red (5% abv), Kolsch (5% abv), Pilsner (5.2% abv), IPA (7% abv), Amber (5.5% abv), Red (5% abv), Stout (4.2% abv), and Hazy Pale Ale (5% abv).
The bar also offers a variety of other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and snacks including tacos, pretzel bites, and chips & salsa are available to order.
RAD Brewing is located at 215 Port Augusta St. in a space that is wheelchair accessible, features gender neutral bathrooms, and has a dog-friendly patio. Business hours are Thursday to Monday from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
