Henderson Brewing Releases Call Box 12 ESB and Pearson Shinkansen DIPA

TORONTO, ON – Henderson Brewing has announced the latest release in its monthly Ides Series of small batch beers, and the latest in a series of spin-offs from the brewery’s flagship Pearson Express IPA.

Ides #88: Call Box 12 Extra Special Bitter (5.3% abv):

The Great Fire of 1904 was the largest recorded fire in Toronto that destroyed over 100 buildings, with surprisingly only one fatality. Call Box 12 was used to sound the alarm and is where the name of this month’s Ides comes from.

The beer is a classic style Extra Special Bitter, with a small amount of smoked malt. Medium bitterness, malty, earthy noble hop character.

Pearson Shinkansen Double IPA (9% abv):

The third in our Pearson IPA series is named after the Shinkansen – a high-speed bullet train servicing Japan. A very drinkable double IPA that blends the perfect amount of hops and malt sweetness.

Both beers are available now at the Henderson taproom, retail store, and online shop.
