CAMBRIDGE, ON – After just over five years in business, brewpub and live music venue Rhythm & Brews Brewing in Cambridge, Ontario has permanently closed its doors.
The closure was announced via the following statement which was posted on social media over the weekend:
We would love to thank everyone that stepped foot in our doors the past 5 years to support, and our amazing staff throughout the years!
The cost of running our business has increased, into the realm of diminishing returns.
We set out to make a place Cambridge has never seen! And we believe we had succeeded, with this passion project! We wish the best of luck to all of our local brewery friends and live music venues.
Founded by Andrew Byer, Rhythm & Brews started in 2016 as a contract brewing operation based out of Rainhard Brewing and Junction Craft Brewing in Toronto. Byer then relocated to Cambridge and partnered with Craig Schindler to open a physical location in May 2018.
Rhythm & Brews is the second Cambridge brewery to shut down this summer, following the recent closure of Barncat Artisan Ales.
