Nokomis Craft Ales Releases Hoppy Anniversary White IPA for Grassland Conservation

NOKOMIS, SK – Nokomis Craft Ales and the Nature Conservancy of Canada have announced the release of a beer that is “made for the grasslands, from the grasslands”.

Hoppy Anniversary Wheat Ale (5% abv) was recently released to mark the brewery’s 9th anniversary, and is also raising funds to help protect the Prairie grasslands where Nokomis is located.

As described in the press release:

By protecting grasslands close to home, Nokomis Craft Ales is also helping ensure that they continue to have access to the best regionally grown ingredients. That’s because the agricultural sector relies on wild pollinators for crop production and grasslands provide nesting sites, refuge and food for a diverse community of wild pollinators that are essential to food (and beer) security.

Hoppy Anniversary Wheat Ale is available now at Nokomis Craft Ales and select beer retailers in Saskatchewan. 50 cents from each can sold will be donated to the Nature Conservancy of Canada in support of its Prairie Grasslands Action Plan to conserve and restore more than 500,000 hectares of grassland by 2030.
