Alberta Ale Trail Adds Five New Itineraries in Calgary and Area

CALGARY, ABAlberta Ale Trail, a promotional initiative of the Alberta Small Brewers Association (ASBA) with support from Travel Alberta and the Government of Canada’s Tourism Relief Fund, has announced the launch of itineraries for five new self-guided tours of breweries and attractions in and around Calgary.

As described in the news release:

The Calgary and area trails feature more than 60 brewery stops, with the five different trails each representing distinct communities bringing their own unique perspective to this tight knit and innovative community. Explore curated itineraries featuring the breweries of North Calgary, Brewery Flats, Manchester, Central Calgary and the Foothills.  Each taproom has its own character and styles to offer. There is no better way to experience the award-winning beer in Alberta, than to visit these taprooms that are the hearts of their communities. Liquid gold under blue skies takes on deeper meaning, especially this time of year.

The announcement also notes that an Alberta Ale Trail smartphone app will be launching in October, and the app along with the website are estimated to attract 500,000 unique online visits annually, with the subsequent in-person tours expected to contribute more than $5 million to the Alberta economy in the first 3 years.
