The Growler BC Fall/Winter 2023 Issue Now Available

VANCOUVER, BC – The Fall/Winter 2023 issue of The Growler, the semi-annual publication subtitled the “B.C. Craft Beer & Cider Guide”, is now available.

In addition to the usual comprehensive listings of breweries and cideries in the province, contents of the new issue include the following:

In this issue, we celebrate the best of B.C. beer and cider with the results of the 5th annual Growler Craft Beer and Cider Awards!

Noëlle Phillips meets B.C. breweries who have ventured into the world of wild, sour and aged beers, Ted Child explores the growing selection of brewed-in-B.C. gluten-free beers.

In this issue’s Style Snapshot, Ontario editor Jordan St. John explores ESB, with food pairing examples and must-try B.C. beers. Sandra Thomas meets the chef at Victoria’s Spinnakers, who shares a recipe for a beer and cheese pot—with a suggested beer pairing, of course!

Matt Cavers takes a cider-tasting trip to the Okanagan. Later, he and Nick Farrer chat cidermaking with Joe Wiebe in this issue’s Brewer vs. Brewer Cidermaker vs. Cidermaker. Then, Joe checks out a bunch of beer-themed board games and rates them all.

The Growler Volume 9 Issue 2 is available now at breweries, cideries, liquor stores, taprooms, and other retail locations throughout British Columbia.

It can also be purchased online individually or as part of an annual subscription, and select articles will be available to read on the magazine’s website.
