TORONTO, ON – Bellwoods Brewery has announced the latest fruit-flavoured version of Jelly King sour ale, and this year’s edition of an annual autumn release.
Jelly King Prickly Pear & Pink Guava (5.6% abv):
This new flavour duo is a decidedly tropical kickstart to fall, because a Canadian brewery can dream after all. As for what these two exotic fruits taste like, it’s a real mish mash of strawberry, melon, citrus, and pineapple — in short, fruit punch. Yum.
Bine Hunter Wet Hop Pale Ale (5.6% abv):
Wet hop beers are rare and vibrant treat, made possible only once a year during hop harvest, utilizing whole cone, fresh hop flowers straight from the bine. For the most part we use dried, pelletized, vac-packed hops in our beers, which are certainly optimal in their own right, but Bine Hunter lets us be a little less technical, and that’s nice for a change.
This year’s edition of Bine Hunter uses the forever classic, Cascade, from Hayhoe Hops in Aylmer. Firmly bitter with a vibrant hop quality, it highlights notes of orange peels, spruce tips, and late summer peaches.
The two new beers are available now at both Bellwoods locations and the brewery’s online shop.
