VANCOUVER, BC – Granville Island Brewing has announced the release of a new beer to mark the 40th anniversary of Vancouver’s BC Place stadium.
40 Years of Amazing Hazy Pale Ale (5.4% abv) was officially launched last week, and is the latest addition to the stadium’s year-long anniversary celebration that kicked off in June.
“This year is all about BC Place honouring our guests, and this beer is a tangible way for us to say ‘cheers’ to the fans who have helped make history within these walls,” said Chris May, General Manager of BC Place, in a statement. “Granville Island Brewing has been a Vancouver staple for as long as I can remember, and I couldn’t imagine a better partner to bring this collaboration to life.”
“Just like BC Place, our Brewery has been creating unique experiences and occasions for people to come together for 40 years,” added Brendan Dalton, Brand Manager at Granville Island Brewing. “Needless to say, we jumped at the opportunity to celebrate with our partners across the creek. The design portrays a variety of events and activities at BC Place and through some special printing work, each label has a unique colour pattern to mimic the uniqueness of everyone’s own experiences in this stadium.”
