TORONTO, ON – Burdock Brewery has announced the release of its first pair of beer/wine hybrids in 2023.
Cosmo (7.5% abv):
Cosmo is an homage to our favourite flower in our roof-top garden. This vibrant crimson-coloured barrel-aged beer was rested on whole cluster Cabernet Franc skins from Pearl Morissette and blended with a splash of Cab Franc wine (5% by volume) at bottling. Expect notes of bright raspberries, sweet cherry blossoms, & rocket candy.
ERO VI (7.6% abv):
The 6th member of our ERO family is a beautifully juicy Grape Ale made from 1-year-old barrel-aged beer rested on whole cluster Cabernet Franc skins (like Cosmo) and Montmorency Cherries, then blended with Cabernet Franc wine at bottling (10% by volume). Tastes like extra ripe sour cherries (a little cinnamon, a little coconut), light Lambrusco, and black raspberry Cabernet Franc vin de soif.
Both beers are available now at the Burdock taproom, retail store, and online shop.
