REGINA, SK & CALGARY, AB – Rebellion Brewing and XhAle Brew Co. have announced the release of a new collaborative beer that was “born from a mutual mission in making this world a better place one pint at a time”.
Ask For It Berry Tea Sour ( ) has been released to raise awareness of #AskForIt, a campaign by Rebellion and Sexual Assault Services of Saskatchewan that “aims to bring the conversation about consent to bars and restaurants where the consumption of alcohol can lead to an increased risk of sexual violence.”
The beer is described as follows:
We infused this light, bright sour with a delicious tea that has a a blend of dried grape skins from Niagara’s Organic and Biodynamic Southbrook Vineyards, hibiscus, elderberries and currants. This tea accentuates the citrus and fine red berries characteristics of the Barb Rouge hops and the complex and fruity HBC 630 hops that also have aromas of berries like raspberry and cherry. This beer is amazingly unique!
Ask For It is available now at select locations in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Partial proceeds from sales will be donated to Calgary Communities Against Sexual Abuse.
