NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE, ON – The Exchange Brewery has announced the newest release in its Extension line of small-batch charity beers.
Light The Way (6.7% abv):
This barrel-aged wild ale was brewed with chamomile flower, dried orange peel and lemongrass. This moderately sour and complex beer showcases these flavours along with notes of mint, coconut, and pineapple.
All proceeds from Light The Way will be donated to Plenty Canada, an organization that “shares resources with Indigenous peoples and their community groups around the world in support of their environmental protection and sustainable development goals.”
This recipient charity was selected by Exchange’s Social Media Manager Sara in memory of her grandmother, Beverly Brant, who passed away last year and was a part of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte [KENHTÈ:KE KANYEN’KEHÁ:KA] (Turtle Clan).
Light The Way is available now at The Exchange Brewery taproom, retail store, and online shop.
