PENTICTON, BC – The 2023 edition of Penticton Beer Week kicks off today (October 13th), with the city’s eight breweries – Abandoned Rail Brewing, Barley Mill Brewpub, Cannery Brewing, Highway 97 Brewery, Neighbourhood Brewing, Slackwater Brewing, Tin Whistle Brewing , and Yellow Dog Brewing – all particpating.
“This is our 5th annual Penticton Beer Week, and we are excited to celebrate this milestone year,” said Penticton Beer Week spokesperson Kim Lawton in a statement. “Our collective of Penticton breweries, known as the Penticton Beer Blocks, are hosting Penticton Beer Week to showcase and celebrate Penticton’s exciting craft beer scene.”
In addition to various events taking place at the breweries and other locations, Penticton Beer Week also includes the release of a new collaborative beer. Do Good West Coast Pilsner (5% abv) was brewed at Yellow Dog and is described as “a refreshing Pilsner that features a light, snappy malt body and exotic hop finish, making every sip feel like you’re on a mini vacation in our sun-soaked paradise.” Partial proceeds from sales will go to support BC SPCA South Okanagan/Similkameen.
Penticton Beer Week runs from October 13th to 22nd, 2023. For more details, see the Penticton Beer Week pages on Facebook and Instagram.
