Slake Brewing Releases Georgie Wild Ale and Glimmer IPA

PICTON, ON – Slake Brewing has announced the release of two new beers.

Georgie Wild Ale with Peaches (6% abv):

Georgie is our freckle-nosed, super soft, take no s**t barn cat. She’s named after our neighbour George O’Neil who was always so kind to us. Georgie’s siblings Darren and Wendy got their own beers, and now Georgie gets hers.

We put one year old, barrel aged beer onto lots of ripe, hand crushed Niagara peaches and left it for a long, long, long time. This beer has delicate peach notes with a little pear and apricot. Super cidery. We love it.

Glimmer IPA (6.5% abv):

Glimmer is an IPA brewed in collaboration with Yakima Chief Hops out of Yakima Valley, Washington. This is the most heavily-hopped IPA we have made, and it packs a lot of ripe tropical fruit, white wine, lychee and citrus flavours. Very aromatic!

On the technical side, we made this with a Cryo Phantasm hop blend (hop lupulin powder & sauvignon blanc grape skins), Nelson Sauvin hops from New Zealand, and Citra from Yakima Valley.

Both beers are available now at the Slake taproom, retail store, and online shop.
