Hammond River Brewing Closes Down in Rothesay, NB

ROTHESAY, NB – Hammond River Brewing has announced that it has ceased operations after almost a decade in business in New Brunswick’s Kennebecasis Valley.

The brewery was launched in 2014 as a home-based operation in the town of Quispamsis, and moved to a commercial facility in nearby Rothesay in 2017, featuring a retail store, taproom, patio, and food from the neighbouring Barrel’s Head Gastropub.

The closure was announced last week via a Facebook update that simply said “With heavy hearts, we are now permanently closed.” The brewery’s website has also been updated with a “Permanently Closed” notice, and an invitation for those interested in buying the company’s brewing equipment to get in touch.
