HAMILTON, ON – Collective Arts Brewing has announced this year’s edition of its Origin of Darkness series of collaborative imperial stouts.
For 2023, the series features two beers co-created with Nashville’s Southern Grist Brewing.
Maple Rum Barrel Aged Imperial Stout with Vanilla (11.9% abv)
Aged to perfection in our maple syrup rum barrels, this stout boasts velvety dark chocolate flavours with roasted coffee and hints of toffee that we’ve harmoniously balanced with the sweet and subtle touches of maple syrup, vanilla and aged rum.
Imperial Stout with Maple Syrup, Pistachio, Vanilla & Lactose (11.9% abv):
Taking advantage of our shared interest in decadent mascarpone desserts, we created this rich and luscious pastry stout. We included an irresistible flavour combination of rich maple syrup and nutty pistachios and topped it off with the creamy sweetness of both vanilla and lactose.
Both variants of Origin of Darkness 2023 feature artwork by Buba Viedma, and are available now at both Collective Arts retail stores and the brewery’s online shop.
