Slake Brewing Releases River IPA

PICTON, ON – Slake Brewing has announced the release of a new collaboration with Microbrasserie Le Ketch from Sainte-Flavie, Quebec.

River IPA (6.5% abv):

This past summer, while attending a beer festival in Montreal, we met Guillaume from Le Ketch and immediately felt a kinship in our breweries’ philosophies, so we were happy to have him visit us to brew a beer. Our breweries are located nearly 1000 km apart on opposite sides of the St Lawrence, thus spawned the name “River”.

We macerated 10kg of PEC-grown wine skins and added them into the kettle and dry-hopped it with some mid-late harvest Nelson Sauvin and Cascade hops from New Zealand’s Freestyle Hops, as well as a touch of Citra. The beer is delicious! It’s soft, too easy to drink and tastes like a white wine & fruit salad smoothie. Aromatics are popping out of this one.

River IPA is available now at the Slake taproom, retail store, and online shop.
