Henderson Brewing Releases King of Kensington Kosher Salt Rice Lager

TORONTO, ON – Henderson Brewing has announced the latest release in its monthly Ides Series of small batch beers.

King of Kensington Kosher Salt Rice Lager (4.5% abv):

Sammy Salsberg became Toronto’s first ticket broker when a friend asked him if, in his busy Kensington Market store, he could find a buyer for a pair of tickets he couldn’t use. The store became a hub for life in Kensington, ultimately inspiring the CBC show “King of Kensington” which ran for 5 years in the 70’s.

This kosher salt rice lager is the perfect balance of malt and hop flavour and aroma. Cracker-like malt flavors, herbaceous hop quality, and a crisp bitterness all present nimbly on the palate, with a slight kosher salted finish.

King of Kensington is available now at the Henderson taproom, retail store, and online shop. The official launch will take place at the brewery taproom tomorrow (December 1st) at 6:00 PM, with smoked meat sandwiches from Switzer’s available while supplies last.
